about
"I have a love of bagpipes, so I knew at some point when I started making music I would eventually make a bagpipes song. My first hurdle was convincing my co-producer to let me work with bagpipes as they are not exactly to everyone’s taste! Being half Scottish, the bagpipes bring out a lot of emotions for me. When I hear them I feel like they're transporting me back, hence the name Scotland Take Me Home. My mum, who sadly passed away four years ago, also shared my love of bagpipes. She grew up in Scotland. I remember hearing a story where the family hired a lone bagpiper for my grandfather's 70th and it had the whole family crying. The bagpipes are a connection back to my roots. I am so excited to have Scotland Take Me Home released the same week that the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo is in Sydney." - Clare Brown.
