Nina Gotsis is a Sydney songwriter and musician who is influenced by country, pop and the beauty of the natural world.

In 2021 Nina released her debut solo EP, ‘Music Colours’, which she launched with a memorable performance opening for Darren Hanlon at St Stephens in Newtown.

Nina has recorded a follow-up to ‘Music Colours’ with The Nina Gotsis Band (‘Art Colours’), featuring Toby Martin (Youth Group) and Sam Worrad (The Holy Soul).

The first taste of ‘Art Colours’ (due later in 2023) is the haunting and lovely ‘Treefall In The Middle Of The Road, releasing on the 3rd of June – Nina’s birthday.

Inspired by a walk through the neighbourhood after a thunderstorm, ‘Treefall…’ was mostly recorded live into one mic in Nina’s spare room, and captured by Aria-nominated producer Chris Hamer-Smith.

“I have been writing songs since my late 20s. Since I started, a lot of the things I see have been very special to me, and I love to share them” – Nina Gotsis.

“I love singing Nina’s songs. I feel I can really get inside them, and live in them. And what a beautiful world it is to live in. Nina sees the world differently, she is an artist like that” – Toby Martin.

Nina learned guitar by spending hours playing in an upstairs bedroom in her old home at Bardwell Park, honing an interest in classic progressions and distinctive strumming patterns.

She was a member of the Junction House Band with Lindy Morrison (Go-Betweens), and after the band ceased she continued to write prolifically.

In recent years Nina started to work with the Club Weld studio for neurodivergent musicians (based in ACE Parramatta), and has collaborated with the River City Voices symphonic choir.
